The Department of Highways established the Dan Sai Highway District on December 1, 1980, according to Department of Highways Order No. B.1.1/81/2523 dated October 3, 1980. The land used was the public cemetery “Pa Dong Hua Na Pi Lueat” and land donated by the local people.

The office of Loei Highway District 2 (Dan Sai) was completed on September 20, 1982, but an official opening ceremony was not held immediately due to unfavorable circumstances in Dan Sai District and security concerns. After the situation improved, the Dan Sai Highway District office was officially opened on March 4, 1983. Currently, it is known as Loei Highway District 2 (Dan Sai), under the jurisdiction of Highway Division 6 (Phetchabun), Department of Highways, Ministry of Transport.

Location: Loei Highway District 2 (Dan Sai) is located on the left side of Highway No. 2113, Dan Sai – Na Haew section, at kilometer 1+379, on an area of ​​128 rai, 3 ngan, and 92 square wah.
